Project process

In many cases aqua pura is contacted by the responsible persons of other organizations who wish to operate or establish a school, a home or a hospital. In many cases, contact occurs through word-of-mouth propaganda. We have known many of our partners for years and are constantly realizing new projects with them. This type of cooperation is particularly valuable, as a trust base can be built and the sustainability of the projects is better guaranteed.

Some of the long-standing and reliable partner organizations are: Gilgal school Uganda, Vihda Kenya, Tengwood Nigeria, Caboz action Ivory Coast, Togo assist Togo, Kipteré Kenya, CBSM-Kimilili Kenya, Victoria school Tanzania, Loke Malaysia, Project in Peru with the University of Stuttgart, Germany. Links to these partner organisations see Projects.

The four steps in the project process

1) aqua pura provides the applicant with a form that helps to clarify the expectations and the constraints (how many people will benefit from the water, where the water comes from, the electricity, who is responsible for the operation, etc.). Based on the information obtained from conversations, the application checklist and the results of the water analysis, aqua pura decides on the cooperation with the applicant or on the support of the project. An agreement is then signed which confirms, amongst other things, that the commercial use of the water purification plant is not foreseen and not permitted. Furthermore, the use of the equipment is to be documented and photos and the description are to be made available to aqua pura for the purpose of communication.

2) aqua pura provides the required cultures for water analyses and determines the presence of contaminants. An incubator or drying cabinet is required. aqua pura supports the establishment of contacts to a hospital or in exceptional cases also provides an incubator since the water controls have to be repeated on a regular basis.

3) aqua pura supplies the necessary equipment for water purification (Waterflow system 250, 500 or 750), takes care of the transportation as required and ensures the handling of the installation by appropriate documentation and instructions of  the responsible persons on the spot.

4) aqua pura is responsible for the local contact, also after the installation. Replacement materials such as cultures for water analysis, replacement of UV-C lamps, etc. are made available as required. The photographs and reports provided by the project partners are made available on the website of aqua pura.
